The Letter

The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

In addition to the catalogue description:
- the full sheet.
- the colours fresh and unattenuated.
- with the printer's stamp K 6712 lower right verso.
- with the publisher's stamp ea416 lower left verso.
- some unobtrusive creasing in the right of the white envelope, mainly visible in a raking light.
- an associated hairline crack to the printed surface at the right border.
- minor rubbing to the sheet edges on all four sides (from contact with the frame).
- a few tiny ink losses at the extreme sheet edges.
- some minor foxing to the upper sheet verso.
- old paper hinges at the sheet corners verso, partially covering the printer and publisher's stamps at the lower corners.
Otherwise as described and in good condition.
