The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

- with the printer's stamp K 6711 at lower right verso.
- with the publisher's stamp ea415 lower left verso.
- the colours fresh and unattenuated.
- rubbing at all four sheet corners.
- a tiny abrasion at the upper left sheet corner and at the extreme right sheet edge.
- a hairline scratch to the lower edge of the handle of the jug.
- a small curved handling crease to the blue background next to the glass at left, with an associated hairline crack to the surface.
- other soft handling creases visible in a raking light.
- an occasional small brown mark at the sheet edges verso.
