The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

- with narrow margins, laid on a Japan paper support (not original).
- a few very pale fox marks mainly visible on the halo of the central figure and to the left of the title.
- a small paper split on the left shoulder of the central figure; another 20 mm. split at right of the central figure, above the flowers.
- a 35 mm. vertical tear from the lower sheet edge into the bouquet at right.; another 15 mm. tear lower centre.
- a flattened diagonal crease at the lower right corner.
- the upper left sheet tip possibly re-attached.
- a pin hole near the upper centre sheet edge.
