The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

- very pale light-staining, the colours slightly attenuated.
- occasional pinpoint foxmarks in the margins and in the white printed area of the boot, and in the yellow printed area of the sleeve.
- occasional very soft handling creases, mainly visible in raking light.
