The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
In addition to the catalogue description:
- the full sheets.
- the portfolio lacking one plate (Field 73-20B).
- some scattered foxing to the text and justification pages.
- some handling marks to the heavy wove paper cover.
Plate A:
- pale time-staining and scattered pinpoint foxing along the lower and right sheet edges.
Plate F:
- soft creasing at the right sheet edge.
- with a couple of fox marks in the subject.
Plate H:
- creasing and some short tears at the right edge.
Plate K:
- a fox mark in the lower centre subject, above the signature; other occasional pale scattered foxing.
- the paper folder splitting in places at the edges.
Plate L:
- some minor foxing in the lower subject.
- some pale handling marks at the upper sheet edge recto and verso.
Plate M:
- some fingerprints to the reflective surface.
- some minor wear to the edges of the blue board.
- the paper folder splitting in places at the edges.
Portfolio case:
- some minor abrasions in places to the perspex covers.
- the metal strips along the edges, lifting in places.
Otherwise as described and generally in good condition.
