The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

- the sheets with some scattered foxing verso, not showing recto.
- the colours fresh and bright.
- Plate 1, with a tiny abrasion (2 mm.) in the printed red section at lower left.
- Plate 2, with several areas of surface abrasion retouching with yellow pigment.
- Plate 3, with a soft handling crease in the lower right of the composition (mainly visible in a raking light).
