The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

- the colours slightly attenuated.
- with light- and mount staining.
- two small, circular rings of pale brown moisture-staining in the centre left of the composition.
- a small repaired hole in the left margin.
- a repaired tear at the lower sheet edge (15 mm.) into the margin
- three further repairs showing as pale areas on the sheet
- a few minor and unobtrusive handling creases (mainly in the margins and only visible in a raking light).
- the sheet with backboard-staining and a few small areas of light skinning verso.
- hinged with paper tape near the upper corners verso.
