Nakago [tang]: four mekugi-ana, kiri yasurime, with signature Masamune, ha-agari kurijiri
Habaki [collar]: now missing
Horimono [carving]: on the omote a dragon, on the ura a flowering plum bough
Nagasa [length of blade]: 40.5 cm
Koshirae [mounting]: Wakizashi mounting with black lacquered striated scabbard, shakudo nanako kogai with bugaku musicians in high relief with gold inlay, with signature Goto Yujo, iron kogai with a dragon in silver inlay, round iron tsuba pierced and carved Soten style with a crowded battle scene, details in copper, silver, shakudo and gold, menuki of grasshoppers in copper and gilt, shibuichi fuchi of a running boar in high relief with Buddhist Wheel of the Law, signed ....Toshiharu, the kashira with the three-faced six-armed deity Marishiten in high relief inlay of copper, shakudo, silver and gold
