Deluxe limited edition, letter J of 13 copies bound in full leather, from a total edition of 340. Signed by Tyler and by the printer, Thomas Whitredge. Folio. Original blue morocco gilt; linen slipcase.

3. HENDERSON, Paul. Landmarks on the Oregon Trail. New York: Published by Peter Decker for the Westerners, 1953. Limited edition, presentation copy for William Reese. Number 6 of 300 copies, the first fifty of which were reserved for the eight members of the Westerners who participated in the expedition and subsequently in the book's creation. All eight members of the group have signed the limitation page. Peter Decker has additionally inscribed the limitation page, twice, once for Frederick W. Beinecke and later for William S. Reese. The lengthy inscription to Reese reads: "For my young friend William S. Reese an enthusiastic collector and student of American history, especially the beginning and expansion of ranching on the Western Plains, with the sincerest regards of one who made the trek along the Oregon Trail 100 years after the first immigrants blazed the Train.
