A PAIR OF AMERICAN SILVER PLATE FIVE-LIGHT CANDELABRA
MARK OF MERIDEN BRITANNIA COMPANY, MERIDEN CONNECTICUT,  LATE 19TH CENTURY
10 ½ in. (27 cm.) high

These candelabra once belonged to William S. Reese's maternal grandparents. His grandfather, J.D. Jackson, was the owner of the New Haven Register. They were given to Reese by his grandmother and then became a fixture on his own dining room table.
