This 1973 painting is exceptionally vivid and detailed. While Zuzek painted many different types of plants and animals, human figures are somewhat rare in her work. The figures and animals that make up this dynamic pattern have sweet and highly expressive faces.
The reverse of this piece offers an insight into the printmaking process. The red channel screen has been exposed onto the reverse, creating a shadow version of the image on the front. The areas that we see in red on the recto appear white on the verso, while the rest of the page had been darkened to a light tan. This phenomenon can also be observed on the reverse of lots 11 and 39.
