#516: Minor wear and faint handling marks are visible to the extreme turning edges. Several faint surface scuffs are visible to the upper left, presumably a vestige of the artist's working process. Pinpoint accretions are visible to the lower left and minute accretions are visible under close inspection. There is no apparent inpainting visible under ultraviolet light.

#516 Study Drawing: The sheet is hinged at the corners to the backing board and undulates slightly. Artist's pinholes are visible to the corners. Minor soft handling creases are visible to the edges.
