The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The canvas, stretcher and attachments are in generally good condition. The paper undulates slightly in the upper right and upper left. There is slight discolouration in the upper and lower edges. There are two very minor tears to the upper left edge. The sheet has yellowed. There is skinning to the upper right horizontal edge and to the extreme lower right corner. There is minor rubbing to the extreme lower left corner. There is a horizontal and a vertical faint crease, presumably in keeping with the nature of the medium. Subject to the foregoing, it is in our view that this work appears to be in overall good condition.
