Lot Essay

The OMEGA Speedmaster Professional Mark II was produced between 1969 and 1972 with a few variations. This is the highly-attractive exotic dial. The original Speedmaster of this time period also had a small number made with similar exotic black dials and those can sell for over $30,000 at auction, while this is a fraction of the price. The combination of the exotic dial with orange and red accents in the cushion-shaped case makes this a visually compelling watch.

According to the Archives of OMEGA the present watch was manufactured on November 16, 1970 and delivered to Italy.
