According to the Archives of Audemars Piguet, the present wristwatch was sold in 1982 in Germany.
Of all the Royal Oaks created, this timepiece attracts the curiosity of many though the captivating "petite tapisserie" champagne dial beautifully harmonizing with the 18K gold case. It is one of the most striking and attractive examples of the model, furthermore offered in very good overall condition.
Reference 4100 was originally introduced in 1972 alongside the celebrated ref. 5402, with the same bold yet elegant design but in a smaller case.
