Lot Essay

Shaped as a gueridon, this unusual and highly decorative timepiece made by the celebrated house of Fabergé features a central white enamel dial with black Arabic numerals in seed-pearl bezel, surrounded by suspended gold ribbon-tied laurel wreathes within translucent salmon pink enamel over guilloché ground within a silver-gilt laurel leaf rim.

The four silver corinthian style columns on four silver and silver-gilt rosettes are set on four silver paw feet, joined by a circular silver-gilt platform decorated with silver floral scrolls and centered by a silver cone finial. The sides are decorated with silver-gilt crossed arrows and silver ribbon-tied laurel wreaths.
