Lot Essay

Fresh to the market, this outstanding pocket watch represents a discovery of one of the rarest complicated watches ever produced by Patek Philippe. A very small number of this reference were ever been produced.

The reference 699 was produced from 1939 to at least 1964. Different dial versions were available and with a 48mm diameter case. The present ref. 699-2J displays a sought after "window" or "American Calendar" display, of which only five have ever been identified.
