The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
The present lot is offered in very good overall condition. The dial and hands are excellent. The hands appear to be original. There is one extremely light hairline to the out side of the outer track at the 31 minute marker, and between the 57 and 58 minute markers. There is also extremely light scratching within the sunk subsidiary second portion of the dial, however it is only visible under magnification. The case maker is ‘A.W.C. CO.’ The case is in good condition with light scratches and scuffs throughout as well as a ding to the case back and to the cuvette. The cuvette appears to have had an inscription buffed off and removed. The inner case back appears to be engraved with the monogram “A.S.B.”, and a year “1973”. The bow is solid and tight. There is some wear to the case and cuvette hinges, however they aren’t loose. The movement is in working order at the time of cataloging, consistent with the age of the watch. The movement has not been tested for accuracy. A service is recommended given the age of the watch.
