Movement: The movement is in working order at the time of cataloging, consistent with the age of the watch. The movement has not been tested for accuracy. A service is recommended given the age of the watch. Dial: The crystal has a deep scratch at 10 o’ clock. The dial is in good overall condition with some signs of spotting all throughout and the buildup of dust under the crystal at the 5-6 o clock. The 6 o’ clock indices is slightly tilted off center from the dial. The 12 o’ clock indices is starting to show signs of oxidation. The hands have some scratches and signs of spotting. Case: The case is in overall fair condition with signs of wear present throughout the case, the hallmarks are worn. The caseback is engraved “To our son, HAYWARD, Love, Mom & Dad, JUNE 26 48”. Buckle: The buckle is in fair overall condition with signs of wear consistent with the case. Overall condition: The present lot is offered in fair overall condition.
