The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
Movement: The movement, is in working order at the time of cataloguing, consistent with the age of the watch. The movement has not been tested for accuracy. A service is recommended. The movement is stamped HOX, indicating the watch was for the American market.
Dial: The dial has been changed during the lifetime of the timepiece. Displaying light oxidation on the indexes. Some very fine, hardly visible, scratches between the indexes at 7 and 8 o'clock. Some very small scratches below the word "Genève" and between 12 o'clock and the number 60 of the tachymeter, a very fine scratch from the centre to the sub-dial for the minute counter, a very fine scratch through the number 2 of the number 25 of the sub-dial for the minute and a hardly visible scratch to the right of the word "Philippe". Very small marks are visible to the left of the number 10 of the sub-dial for the minute, to the left of the index at 1 o'clock and below the letter "A" of "Tiffany". The dial is in very good condition consistent with its age. The imperfections described are hardly visible to the naked eye. The hands with very slight surface scratches.
Case: With minor surface scratches throughout. Surface scratches below the lugs from removing the bracelet. Hallmark between the lug at 6 o'clock is clear and crisp.
Buckle: With slight surface scratches.
Overall condition: In generally very good overall condition, all consistent with age.
