A variation on the Patek Philippe 5270 Perpetual Calendar Chronograph, this new version in platinum has a black dial and is set with 80 baguette-cut sapphires. Moreover, the reference 5271 is powered with Patek Philippe’s own in-house calibre CH 29-535 PS Q and has been granted the new hallmark of excellence, the PP seal. Presented with a 12-layer lacquer dial, a sappire-set bezel and lugs and a sapphire-covered deployant clasp, the reference embodies the ultimate excellence in watch making technology and haute joaillerie.

Fresh to the market and consigned by a distinguished private collector, the present lot is manufactured in small quantities and only made available to Patek Philippe’s top clients. In fact, to the best of our knowledge, this is only the second of its kind ever offered at auciton.
