Signed Kajikawa saku and with red pot seal, Edo period (19th century)
Decorated in gold and red takamaki-e [high-relief lacquer], kirikane [cut and inlaid pieces of gold leaf] and cut and inlaid shell against a gold lacquer ground with tombo [dragonflies] in flight, nashiji interiors and risers, fundame rims, attached lacquer manju netsuke similarly decorated in gold lacquer with birds above grasses
