Lot Essay

According to legend Moso (Mengzong) lived in the 3rd century AD. On a winter day, his mother expressed a desire to eat stewed bamboo shoots. Knowing that these did not grow in the depth of the winter, he still went to the field to try to please his mother and he is here depicted discovering bamboo shoots growing in the snow.
