Of cylindrical form with domed cover, the exterior and cover decorated in gold, silver and black hiramaki-e [low relief lacquer], takamaki-e [high relief lacquer], kirikane [cut gold-leaf] and heidatsu [thin metal sheet applied on lacquer] over a nashiji [sprinkled gold lacquer] ground, depicting blossoming weeping cherry trees beside streams in a hilly landscape, interior in red lacquer
