The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

As is typical of this type of screen there are slight damages and repairs with associated touching-in of pigments particularly around the hinges. Both screens have some wormage around the hinges, particularly the left screen - and especially the fold between the far left panel and the second panel. The left screen has some water marks as can be seen in the illustration, to the brocade mount and to the second and third panels in particular. This has resulted in some small losses of paper. There are small losses overall to the paper surface of both screens.
