Lot Essay

There are eight color variants for this print, each limited to an edition of six plus one artist's proof. The plate for the images was made at Tyler Graphics Ltd. and used in . Motherwell wanted to use it again and gave it to Catherine Mosley for revision and editioning in Greenwich. Printer's proofs were made for some but not all images. Because the same plate was used on all eight editions, only one cancellation proof exists.
