Roger Federer continued his dominance at his home event in 2011, defeating Kei Nishikori 6-1, 6-3 in the final to win his fifth Basel title in six years. He had defeated Andy Roddick in the quarter-finals and fellow countryman Stanislas Wawrinka in the semi-final to progress.
