The Sydney Olympics in 2000 was Federer’s debut in the competition. As a 20-year old, he enjoyed an impressive run to the semi-finals eventually losing out to Tommy Haas. Roger lost to Arnaud di Pasquale in the bronze medal match to finish in 4th place.
