The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Oil on canvas. Not lined. Varnished. Some frame abrasion with associated areas of rubbing and small paint losses. The canvas undulates slightly in places with associated fine and stable craquelures. Some pale surface dirt with associate spots of accretion in places. A few small surface scuffs in places towards the left edge. Examined under ultra-violet light : some areas of fluorescence in places that does not appears to be retouching. Subject to the foregoing it is our opinion that this work appears to be in generally good condition.
