The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Oil on canvas. Not lined. Varnished. Some frame abrasion with associated areas of rubbing and paint losses along the edges. Two vertical scratch (approx. 11 cm.) towards the face and buste, with associated tear. Some drying cracks in the burgundy background. Some craquelures with associated paint losses mainly in the siter's hair. Examined under ultra-violet light: some areas of retouching corresponding to the aformentioned tears.
