The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

L’œuvre est sur sa toile d’origine. La surface est légèrement encrassée et poussiéreuse. Quelques très petits manques de matière sont visibles par endroits (l’un dans le quart supérieur droit à côté de l’épaule et un autre le long du bord inférieur au centre). Un petit enfoncement ainsi qu’une fine griffure sont visibles en bas du bord droit. Les angles sont légèrement usés et quelques traces de frottement sont visibles par endroits le long des bords. De très fines craquelures sont visibles dans les cheveux. Examinée à la lumière UV : pas de repeint apparent. Sous réserve de ce qui précède, selon notre opinion, l’œuvre est en bon état général de conservation.

The work is not lined. The surface is slightly dirty and dusty. There are tiny paint losses in places (one to the upper right quadrant next the shoulder and another one to center of the lower edge). A small dent and a minor scratch are to the lower part of the right edge. The corners present some wears and there is some rubbing along the edges. There are harline cracks to the hair passage. Examined under UV light: no visible inpainting. Subject to the foregoing, it is our view that the work appears to be in overall good condition.
