The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
i) The sheet is fully laid down onto an acidic mount, from which we would advise removal. There is some discolouration to the paper and some fading to more delicate pigments. There are a few foxmarks, but otherwise the sheet reads well.
ii) The sheet is backed onto a supporting sheet and hinged into a non-acidic mount. there is some slight surface dirt and a few scattered foxmarks but the medium is strong and the sheet reads well.
