The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

In fairly good condition overall.
There are the inevitable dents, marks and scratches consistent with age and use.
As stated in the cataloguing, the gallery is of earlier date and in generally good condition with some light tarnishing.
The later mounts would benefit from a light clean and there is more significant tarnishing to them throughout.
Some losses, restorations and replacements to the veneers, including but not limited to a small loss to the veneer to the frieze to the back of the table.
The undertier has sever shrinkage splits.
Traces of historic, apparently inactive woodworm to the timber.
The leather writing surface is fairly worn with a number of scuffs and marks.
Structurally a little unstable.
