The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
Presenting well overall; some scratches and wear throughout, consistent with age and handling; scattered minor kiln imperfections, in the making, including short firing lines and scattered dark kiln specks; a faint network of fine craquelure to the glaze; repaired in several places with some touch-up over the repairs, including the nozzle, around the neck and chin, the narrow end of the tail, the waves at each end and around the left fin; a restuck and touched-up chip to each eye; several tight cracks, some connecting the touched-up repairs, including at the back of the tail and vertically across the head, overlapping the nozzle; four small drill-holes, each approx. 3/16 - 1/4 in. diameter, to the reverse; a few further small chips and flakes throughout.
