In the French Régence style, the body chased with a frieze of strapwork and trellis on matted ground and applied with two cartouches of putti in a landscape, the flat handles chased with foliate scrolls and dolphins on a matted ground, the stepped cover applied with four dolphin-shaped resting scrolls and cast rib of ovolo framing a square shaped cartouche figuring Hercules and the dragon Ladon, the rim applied with four cartouches of putt, marked on underside and cover rim and with later Austro-Hungarian marks for Vienna, 1806
