On tripod stand, the scrolling feet applied with satyr mask, the border chased with foliate border repeated on the detachable lamp, the kettle on flat base chased on the lower part with lambrequins and engraved below the rim with strapwork on matted ground repeated on the swing handle, the spout shaped as a sea monster, the detachable cover applied with an enameled plaque figuring in the foreground two harvesting servants resting, a field and mountain in the background, the scene framed by a band of flowers, with acorn finial, engraved on underside of lamp with initials R.H, marked on stand, underside of kettle and cover's inner rim with town and maker's marks

The floral decoration bordering the harvesting scene on the cover, often found on lids of jugs or early toilets boxes, is derived from the fashion for flowers started in France by Jacques Vauquer (1621–1686) and popularized in Augsburg by engravers such as Christoph Schmidt (b. 1632) or Maria Magdalena Küsel (active around 1688–1702).
Esaias Busch like Elias Adam left an important body of enameled pieces mostly unsigned although some are attributed to Johann Aufenwerth or Johann Jacob I Priester considered as the most famous enameller working in Augsburg at the beginning of the 18th century remembered for his exquisite scénes galantes.
