The caned back within an arched frame carved with chute de piastres motif above ram's head arm terminals, on a circular swiveling seat carved with guilloche motif and upholstered in red velvet with tassels, the rope-twist carved seat-rail on four square tapering legs headed by rosettes and terminating in acanthus leaf feet, the seat chassis inscribed in pencil 'Decour(t)'
