The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

In overall good condition.
There are the inevitable marks, tarnishing and scratches consistent with age and use.
The red leather is in good condition with some wear, there is a small patched repair to the top of the central cartouche. There is some fraying the edges.
The gilding is slightly rubbed and tarnished throughout, in particular to the edges.
The ormolu mounts with minor tarnishing.
The silk lining to the interior is in good condition.
In good order and ready to use.
