Pear-shaped with suspension ring, the handle chased with a panel of engine-turned reeds framed by foliate scrolls, the push-button within a laurel wreath, the body decorated with an oval medallion depicting on one side cupid within a classical landscape surrounded by the attributes of the arts and the sciences and on the other a military trophy, the sides chased with laurel berried festoons, the circular lens' gold frame chased with ovolo border, marked on the side and inside
