The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
In fairly good condition overall.
There are the inevitable marks, chips and scratches consistent with age and use.
The gilt-tooled decoration is rubbed and worn to the exterior but remains in good condition to the interior.
The dividers to the drawers are now lacking.
The mounts are fairly tarnished. As stated in the cataloguing the lock is associated but dates from the Louis XIV period.
Structurally sound and ready to use.
