Curved, the gilt brass stirrup hilt engraved on both sides with the Russian inscription 'For Bravery', gilt brass grip, the blade stamped 'Alex. Coppel, Solingen and Eisenhauer', one side of the blade with the stylised monogram of Alexander II, the other side with the Imperial double-headed eagle , the metal scabbard with two brass engraved mounts
