The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The canvas is relined. There are framing abrasions to the extreme edges. There is a paint loss (approx. 2.5 x 0.6 cm.) to the lower left edge and a few specks of pigment loss overall. There is craquelure overall.
The surface is difficult to read under UV under light. Some pigments fluoresce under UV light, but these appear to relate to the composition.
The varnish layer is uneven. There is light surface dirt overall.
The painting is slightly darker than it appears in the catalogue illustration.
