Lot Essay

Princess Iréne (1895-1970) was the daughter of Grand Duchess Xenia Alexandrovna (1875-1960) and Grand Duke Alexander Mikhailovich (1866-1933). She was born in 1895 and in 1914 married Prince Felix Yusupov. She died in Paris in 1970.
Johannes Zehngraf (1857-1908) was a Danish miniaturist, who executed miniature portraits for the royal families of Europe during the nineteenth century. He was the chief miniaturist for Fabergé.
