LaRocca in Warriors of the Himalayas: Rediscovering the Arms and Armor of Tibet, New Haven, 2006, no. 77; both the present example and the Metropolitan spear are similarly decorated on the blade with flame motifs.

The tip of the spear is slightly bent forward and the blade is dull from age and use. There are minor dents throughout the blade and the handle. The gilding is slightly worn at the top of the spearhead and to a greater ectend on the handle. There are nicks, scratches, and abrasions throughout.
