There is creasing with associated pigment loss throughout the painting and other unrelated areas of pigment loss throughout. There is a small stain below the figure in the upper left corner, another small stain to the right of the medicine Buddha, in the green pigment of the aureole. There are other areas of faint staining in the lower register of the painting. There are scratches to the painting, particularly in the lower left corner.
