The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

There is light staining on the to the painting and the textile mount. On the painting, the staining is particularly evident in the lighter colored pigments such as the central aureole, and in the upper right quadrant of the red background. There are speckles of a black paint-like substance in the upper left corner. There is pigment loss throughout, particularly on te lower half of the painting. There is a small tear in the painting to the left of the upper figure in the center. There is minor creasing throughout. The textile mount is in poor condition, with tears to the silk throughout.
