The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its manufacture.
Left:
-one section of the hair has been off and restuck
-a few nicks and chips to the edges and a few minor sections of loss
-some losses to the paint, as can be seen in the illustration

Right:
-The top finials have been off and restuck with associated restoration
-a few nicks and chips to the edges
-a few faint surface cracks -one wing and the head of the bird-form ornament has been off and restuck
-a small area of restoration to the tip of the nose
-some losses to the paint as illustrated
