The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its manufacture.
Cover:
- possibly associated with the ewer
- a minute chip to the outer edge
- residue of old glue on the surface
- two chips to the rim of the collar

Ewer:
- residue of old glue around one side of the mouth, concealing a minor hairline crack
- a chip to the tip of the handle
- a few minute nicks to the edges and relief decoration
