Kitae: [forging pattern]: ko-itame, tight nioi-guchi, with utsuri
Hamon [tempering pattern]: expressive choji-midare of nioi with ko-nie
Boshi [tip]: midare-komi, ko-maru kaeri
Nakago [tang]: suriage, orikaeshi-mei, two mekugi-ana, kiri filke marks on re-shaped portion, kiri-jiri
Habaki [collar]: single silver-clad
Horimono [carving]: futasuji-bi kakinagasu both sides
Nagasa [length of blade]: 50cm long
Koshirae [mounting]: wakizashi koshirae, black ishime lacquered scabbard, round iron tsuba pierced and roundly carved with two shishi within a rim formed as bamboo, gold inlaid with two shishifuchi- kashira of shibuichi with emblem and a shishi on a table in high relief copper, silver, and gold inlay, menuki of Chinese immortals in copper, shakudo and gold details, kozuka with bird on a budding plum bough in high relief shakudo with gold, 70 cm
