The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The edges are slightly deckled with very faint discolouration. Faint foxing and handling marks appear occasionally on the surface upon close inspection. A fold mark across the middle of the sheet. Minor tear to the upper edge close to the middle. On the reverse, the condition is consistent with the aforementioned condition observed on the front. Cappellin's seal and reference number 277. Subject to the foregoing, it is in our opinion that the work is in overall good condition.
